I am Frédéric Hecht, the main developer at FreeFEM and a professor at Sorbonne University in Paris. In 1992, I released FreeFEM, a new implementation of MacFEM completely re-written in C++. Twenty-seven years later, we were very proud to announce the release of FreeFEM version 4.
